Achieving Full Stage Coverage
When lighting a stage your goals should be to ensure light covers the entire space, with little to no shadows, and that everyone on stage has the proper amount of light (too much light can make people on stage look pale). The best way to do this is to have lights shining in both an UPWARDS and DOWNWARDS angle.
Another trick is to combine warm white with pure white (aka cool white) to create a visual pop. Although warm light is thought to be the most desired color, adding a cool white adds emphasis and a crispness to your stage performers.
